Tyler Cantrell sits down with the only returning member of the UAB Football coaching staff, running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Tyson Helton.  They talk about his love of coaching, what it means for UAB head coach Garrick McGee to retain him on staff, and what coaching the running backs entails.

    Excellent interview. It was good to learn some things about Coach Helton.

    His roots are interesting. Coach Helton played at Houston. He coaches with June Jones in Hawaii. June Jones ends up at SMU. Small world. Coach Helton has been through the fire a little bit, and I think that will benefit this staff. I’ve watched all these interviews. What a great group of coaches. Can’t wait for the season.
